Error when opening  MS Office 365 attachments from inside KAPA Application


Some users may encounter the following error when trying to open some MS Office  attachments  from  inside the KAPA application.

This  error might be encountered from computers with Microsoft Office 365 version installed. It is caused by a security feature of MS Office and is not caused by KAPA Application.



To overcome this error, the user must open the following applications of MS Office 365 and make the following change to each of them  independently :

- MS Word

- MS Excel


Instructions:


1) Open MS Word application, and click on the "File" menu on the top left corne


2) A new  screen will appear an on the left side there is a menu. Click on  " Options" (bottom)



3) The "options" window will open. On its left side, there is a menu. Click on "Trust Center"



4) Then click on the "Trust Center  Settings" button.



5)  On the left side menu, click on " Protected View". The following screen will appear.




6) Deselect ( Un-check) the 2 first checkboxes on the right side , and click "OK"

    - Enable Protected View for files originating from the Internet

    - Enable Protected View for files located in potentially unsafe locations



7) You are now ready and can close all relevant windows. Repeat exact same process for MS EXCEL.
